Finance Manager

Position Summary The Accounting & Finance Manager will oversee the organization's day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, sound internal controls, and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards Lead the annual budgeting process in partnership with the Executive Director and department heads; monitor budget-to-actual performance throughout the year Oversee cash flow management, bank reconciliations, and treasury functions Ensure proper tracking and reporting of restricted, temporarily restricted, and unrestricted funds, including grant and program-specific accounting Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures Support grant compliance, including budget preparation, financial reporting to funders, and expenditure tracking Supervise and mentor accounting/finance support staff, as applicable Partner with leadership and the Board Finance/Audit Committee, providing clear financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decisions Manage relationships with banking partners, insurance providers, and outside financial vendors Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with nonprofit fund accounting experience strongly preferred Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar) and strong Excel skills Experience managing audits, budgets, and grant/restricted fund reporting Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills A collaborative, mission-first mindset and genuine interest in nonprofit work Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Generous paid time off, including holidays, vacation, and sick leave 403(b) retirement plan with employer contribution Hybrid/flexible scheduling options to support genuine work-life balance Professional development support and continuing education opportunities A collaborative, values-driven culture with low turnover and strong staff tenure #J-18808-Ljbffr Talent Haus
