Position Overview.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on advanced prototype weapon systems and support the development, integration, assembly, checkout, and testing of next-generation aerospace and defence technologies.

The selected candidate will work onsite with engineering teams supporting prototype systems incorporating electro-mechanical assemblies, power electronics, processors, sensors, and rocket-powered effectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assembly, integration, checkout, and test support for prototype aerospace and defense weapon systems.
• Work with electro-mechanical systems, power electronics, processors, sensors, and related hardware.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, work orders, build plans, and test procedures.
• Fabricate, inspect, and perform checkout of electrical cables and wire harnesses.
• Operate basic laboratory test equipment such as:
• Oscilloscopes
• Digital multimeters
• Power supplies
• Collect and maintain build data, photographs/digital stills, handwritten records, and other technical documentation.
• Support development of End-Item Data Packages.
• Follow ESD-sensitive hardware handling procedures and clean-room requirements.
• Follow safety procedures when working with high-power/high-voltage electronics.
• Properly handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and SECRET information.
• Participate in system demonstrations and testing at government facilities, including onsite assembly, checkout, and live-fire testing.
• Travel up to 20% as required.

Basic Qualifications

• 2 5 years of relevant engineering technician experience.
• Experience with assembly and integration of military and/or aerospace weapon systems.
• Experience fabricating and performing checkout of electrical cables and wire harnesses.
• Hands-on experience using basic laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%.
  
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience assembling, integrating, and checking out weapon systems.
• Experience with precision servo-driven mechanisms, missiles, or gun-launched systems.
• Experience handling energetic materials, including Class 1.1A safety hazard materials.
• Basic machining knowledge, including operation of mills and lathes.
• Active Top Secret clearance is highly preferred.
