Pay Rate: $18.02 / hour

We have partnered with a large manufacturing company in the Ypsilanti, MI area to provide them with a Shipper/Receiver. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Shipper/Receiver:

• Must have at least one year of experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must be familiar with safe warehouse procedures and regulations.
• Must have no more than four jobs in the last 10 years.
• Must have material handling, shipping/receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations experience.

Responsibilities for the Shipper/Receiver:

This position is responsible for general warehouse operations, loading and unloading materials on trucks, preparing pallets for outbound shipments, and maintaining stock and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and communicate with the Shipping & Receiving team and Manufacturing regarding deliveries and shipments.
• Stage, load, and unload inbound and outbound shipments.
• Verify and receive products into the inventory system.
• Identify and correct shipping and receiving discrepancies.
• Process materials and work-in-progress (WIP) according to work instructions for finished pallets, rolls, and crates shipped to internal and external customers.
• Complete shipping and receiving paperwork accurately.
• Ensure all internal and external customer requirements are met for inbound and outbound freight.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements for the Shipper/Receiver:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Material handling experience required.
• Minimum one year of experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Clamp truck experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
• Experience completing daily equipment inspection checklists.
• Familiarity with safe warehouse procedures and regulations.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must meet attendance requirements.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch throughout the shift.
• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate work.

Other Key Requirements:

• 100% in facility
• No Visa or Sponsorships. No Corp-to-Corp.
