Human Services Program Representative 1

Position Overview As a Human Services Program Representative 1 with the Department of Human Services, you will help support services that make a difference in people's daily lives. This position supports programs that help individuals and families access developmental programs. Together with community partners, you will ensure individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism live an everyday life full of choice and opportunity. Description of Work Case Reviews: Complete reviews of service records and program activities to ensure compliance with waivers, regulations, and policies. Program Monitoring: Evaluate the quality of community programs through site visits, interviews, and observation to confirm that consumer needs are met effectively. Policy Participation: Contribute to policy development by reviewing draft bulletins, joining focus groups, and engaging in committee work. Incident Oversight: Review incident reports, address complaints, and support regional duties while serving as Duty Officer on a rotating basis. Workgroup Engagement: Coordinate, facilitate, or participate in assigned projects, committees, or statewide initiatives. Technical Guidance: Act as a subject‑matter expert to provide direction and assistance to regional staff and partner agencies. Work Schedule and Additional Information Full‑time employment. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home part‑time, up to 3 days per week. A securely configured high‑speed internet connection and an approved location inside Pennsylvania are required. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Scranton. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Qualifications Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
