Family Law Legal Secretary/Paralegal

Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara, LLP is seeking a talented Family Law Legal Secretary/Paralegal to join our award-winning Family Law team. As a Family Law Legal Secretary/Paralegal, you will have an essential role in supporting our attorneys and clients and contributing to our continued success.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, format, and file family law legal documents and pleadings
- Maintain attorney calendars, including scheduling appointments and calendaring deadlines
- Communicate with clients regarding case matters and updates
- Handle administrative duties as needed, including answering phones and filing
- Proofread documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to filing or distribution
- Minimum of 5 years of recent secretarial and/or paralegal experience in Family Law required
- Knowledge of California family court filing procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and other word processing software
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, reliable team player with a professional personality
- Paralegal certification is a plus
- This is a hybrid paralegal/secretary position and will not require billing as a paralegal
