This person will add to an established group of staff who pride themselves on supporting one another! Compensation is commensurate with experience and ranges form $80,000 - $99,000.
Responsibilities include :
- Prepare and format legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Process new client/matter requests.
- File legal documents with state and federal courts, both electronically and through traditional means.
- Proofread all documents to ensure accuracy and completeness before distribution or filing.
- Update and maintain client files, including electronic management systems.
- Manage attorney calendars, scheduling appointments and tracking due dates.
- Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and make arrangements for meals, refreshments, and equipment.
- Arrange travel arrangements for assigned attorneys.
- Enter, review, and revise timekeeper time entries, ensuring consistent identification of litigation codes.
- Prepare expense reimbursement requests for attorneys promptly and accurately.
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy and prepare check requests for timely payment.
- Provide assistance to visitors, paralegals, and attorneys in the absence of their secretaries.
- Handle overflow work from other secretaries as needed.
