Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Badge Verification in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide welcoming customer service to guests and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, property-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to guest concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hotel public areas, guest-accessible spaces, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately while maintaining a professional presence in a hospitality-focused environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
