Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Water/Wastewater to lead the successful delivery of infrastructure projects from initial planning through to completion. This role will involve managing projects across water treatment, wastewater, utilities, pipelines, pumping stations and associated civil, mechanical and electrical works. You will be responsible for establishing project objectives, programmes, budgets and delivery strategies, while ensuring that all activities meet contractual, technical, environmental, health and safety requirements.


Key responsibilities will include coordinating multidisciplinary design and construction teams, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers; monitoring progress, costs, quality and risks; and providing accurate reporting to senior stakeholders and clients. You will manage procurement and contract administration, review project documentation, oversee change control and support the resolution of technical or commercial issues. The role will also require effective communication with regulatory bodies, local authorities, site teams and community representatives, as well as ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, industry standards and approved specifications.


Applicants should have proven experience managing water or wastewater infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of project controls, construction methodologies, health and safety obligations and quality management systems. A degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering, construction management, project management or a related discipline is preferred, together with relevant professional accreditation where applicable. You will need strong leadership, negotiation, organisation and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and build productive relationships at all levels. Experience with NEC or other major forms of contract, budget management, risk assessment and project scheduling will be highly advantageous. A valid driving licence and the flexibility to travel to project and client sites may be required.
