Kevin’s Roofing is a locally owned business serving homeowners throughout Greater Fredericksburg since 1982. We specialize in roof replacements, repairs and attic insulation, with most of our work coming from repeat customers and referrals.

We’re a small, experienced team that takes pride in doing good work, treating people well and leaving every property clean. We’re looking for a Production Manager who shares those values and enjoys bringing people, schedules and details together.

The role

You’ll guide each roofing project from signed contract through final inspection, helping our crews stay prepared and our homeowners feel informed and cared for. You’ll have ownership of the day-to-day coordination, with support from the owner, office team and experienced crews.

This is a hands-on coordination and leadership role—not an installer position. Success means keeping work moving, solving problems early and following through on the details that make a job go smoothly.

A typical day might include checking in with a crew, visiting a roof replacement, updating a homeowner about the weather, arranging materials and completing a final inspection.

This is a full-time position based out of our Fredericksburg office, with much of your day spent at job sites throughout the surrounding area. You’ll report directly to the owner and work closely with our office team.

What you’ll do

• Take ownership of each project and coordinate the schedule, crews and materials.
• Confirm materials and equipment are on site before each job starts.
• Keep materials and equipment organized in the shop and on job sites.
• Keep homeowners informed about scheduling, progress and any changes along the way.
• Visit active job sites daily to check progress, quality, safety and cleanup.
• Identify and address concerns early, bringing in support when needed.
• Inspect finished work, document with photos and close out the job for invoicing.
• Coordinate and follow through on any additional tasks or homeowner concerns.
• Lead regular crew meetings to review upcoming work, weather and safety.

What we’re looking for

We value integrity, sound judgment, organization and the ability to work well with others. Roofing experience is welcome, but it is not required—we’re willing to teach the right candidate the roofing process.

• 2+ years coordinating people and schedules in construction, the trades, field service, dispatch or another fast-paced environment.
• Self-directed and highly organized, with strong follow-through.
• Clear, respectful communication skills and a willingness to coordinate with homeowners, crews and the office.
• Comfortable on ladders and roofs.
• Familiarity with smartphone apps and basic computer software.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Able to tow and park trailers, or willingness to learn.
• Roofing experience, construction knowledge, Spanish language skills and OSHA safety training are a plus.

What we offer

• $65,000 to $72,000 per year based on experience, plus potential for bonuses.
