Third-party or C2C candidates will not be considered.Job DescriptionMaterial Planning includes but are not limited to: Running exception reports and communicating with the supply base on potential part issues. There are opportunities to communicate, and problem solve with cross functional teams including other supply chain team members, production, quality, engineering, customer response center, third party logistics and procurement. Communication may be direct with supply base and/or through corporate conference calls. Material planners are responsible for material inventory levels as it moves through the production cycle.ResponsibilitiesPlans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycleDetermines material requirements from engineering and production schedulesCoordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineeringDevelops specifications for new contract ordersResponsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systemsMinimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree (OR) At least 2 years of shop order planning and purchasing experienceAdditional RequirementsQualified candidates, excluding current client employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.Client does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g.
