About this Role The Construction Manager is responsible for driving the project’s safety, productivity, and quality in the field, minimizing risks, and completing the work in the best interests of QISG, our clients, and our co-workers. In addition, this position will monitor and audit a project’s quality management requirements, as well as the execution of the project Quality Management Plan. This position will work closely with Project Managers and Construction Managers for the monitoring and oversight of project quality objectives/activities. What You'll Do Duties Leads, manages, and directs field construction personnel in the performance of their duties on assigned projects Ensures compliance with customer goals and expectations associated with safety, quality, and environmental stewardship Plans, collects, and provides reporting on overall project performance Works directly with the customer to ensure optimal communication, customer satisfaction, and effective coordination between the project and other activities occurring at the jobsite Mitigates and effectively resolves potential rework situations and construction disputes Develops and provides oversight to ensure compliance with project-specific quality control and quality assurance plans Displays expert knowledge of the prime contract and construction subcontracts and purchase orders associated with assigned projects Monitors progress of the overall design to maintain or improve the balance between scope, budget, time, and quality Originates, reviews, and/or responds to Requests for Information (RFI) and Submittals for constructability Develops, implements, and provides guidance in the execution of the Quality Management Plan, to include the Quality Management System Provides guidance for change and improvement in performance and process plans Interacts with Quanta Operating Units and other subcontractors to provide guidance on contract required quality obligations, requirements, and documentation Leads project team in quality related training and awareness regarding activities planned for the project Recommends procedural improvements and best practices based on audit results/experiences and lessons learned Assists in identifying and documenting issues that may cause, or contribute to, deviations from planned/expected outcomes and develop corrective action plans to address issues Assists the Directors, Operations with the maintenance of overall Quality Management Plan and System for activities that are specific to procedures, processes, and training Performs random inspections of work performed by Quanta Operating Units and subcontractors; reviews QA documents as they are issued Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures Performs special projects and completes other duties as assigned or requested What You'll Bring Required Experience and Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or equivalent field; equivalent work experience, or combination of work and education, may be substituted 10+ years’ experience in Construction Management with direct DB/EPC projects in the power delivery industry preferred; ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in transmission, distribution, and substation work Must be well versed in various aspects of quality and construction, as well as project planning and management-related tasks and activities Skills Excellent problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail Strong organizational and planning skills Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal skills Ability to work alone as well as in a team environment Travel Requirements Travel: Yes Percent of Time: Up to 80%, or as project needs require What You'll Get Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Health Coverage - Multiple Medical, dental & vision plans with 100% preventive care 24/7 telehealth (Teladoc) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Company-funded HSA and pre-tax savings options 401(k) Retirement Plan No-cost Short- and Long-term Disability Employer-paid basic Life & AD&D Insurance Paid Time off (PTO) and 10 Paid Holidays Paid Parental leave Education Reimbursement and Professional Development Employee discount program and optional insurance offerings: Identity Theft Protection Accident Insurance Voluntary Life (spouse and child) Critical Illness Hospital Indemnity Pet Insurance Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
