Ledwell Machinery is seeking a dependable, hardworking Yard Man / Yard Associate to maintain our equipment yard,
support daily dealership operations, and assist with equipment preparation. This is a hands-on opportunity for
someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and developing mechanical skills through cross-training
with our service technicians.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized equipment yard.
• Wash, detail, and prepare equipment for display or customer delivery.
• Move equipment around the dealership using forklifts, tractors, skid steers, or other machinery.
• Load and unload incoming freight and equipment deliveries.
• Assist with inventory organization and lot presentation.
• Perform basic facility maintenance, groundskeeping, and general cleanup.
• Assist the sales, parts, and service departments as needed.
• Support service technicians with basic shop tasks and equipment preparation.
• Cross-train with experienced mechanics to learn equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
Qualifications
• Dependable attendance, reliable transportation, and a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and contribute as part of a team.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
• Experience operating forklifts, tractors, skid steers, mowers, UTVs, or similar equipment is preferred.
