Logistics Dispatch Assistant / Freight Coordinator

Job Description

D&G Transportation (Germantown, WI) is celebrating our 40th anniversary as a family-owned, national LTL carrier. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our dispatch team as a full-time Logistics Dispatch Assistant / Freight Coordinator. This person will be cross-trained on various duties and is integral to the company’s success. Transportation/supply chain experience is required.
This is a non-exempt and onsite position with a $26+ hourly wage (negotiable according to experience) with reviews at 3 and 6 months. A strong performer will be poised for career growth.
Sample Duties and Responsibilities:

Load planning and optimization
Assist in resolving driver issues (e.g., detentions, breakdowns, weather delays)
Ensure all loads comply with DOT Regulations and safety standards
Navigate website portals to schedule pick-up & delivery appointments
Prepare and generate dispatch documentation (e.g., shipping manifests, bills of lading, proof of delivery)

Required skills:

3-5 Years of experience in logistics and supply chain.
Experience with Transportation Management System (TMS)
Collaborative with strong listening and excellent communication skills
Unwavering attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in fast paced environment
Geographic awareness of United States
