About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Human Resources to take on a pivotal role as the senior-most HR leader. The successful candidate will be tasked with building and professionalizing the HR function to support the organization's next stage of growth, including workforce expansion and potential acquisitions. This hands-on, strategic role requires a leader who can balance tactical HR execution with the development of scalable processes, policies, and best practices. Key responsibilities include serving as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, leading recruiting and workforce planning, and overseeing all aspects of HR, from employee relations to performance management. The ideal candidate will have a background in supporting a field-based, technical workforce, and experience in industrial services, HVAC, mechanical contracting, construction, or similar industries. Applicants for the Vice President of Human Resources position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive HR experience, with a strong preference for those who have operated as a senior or highly autonomous HR leader in a smaller or middle-market organization. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in areas such as recruiting and retaining skilled trades, compensation and benefits, talent and leadership development, and organizational design. Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments, as well as M&A and employee integration, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be adept at preserving an entrepreneurial culture while introducing the necessary structure and discipline to support the company's expansion. They must be comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment and be prepared to roll up their sleeves to ensure the success of the HR function.
