Our client is seeking a highly experienced Principal Security Architect to define and advance enterprise security architecture, standards, and long-term strategy. This is a senior individual contributor role with broad influence across security, network, cloud, infrastructure, applications, and GRC. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Zero Trust, IAM/PAM, network security, cloud architecture, and emerging AI security, while serving as a technical authority who can translate business risk into practical security solutions.

Compensation: This job is expected to pay up to $220,000 per year plus a strong bonus plan and excellent benefits

What You ll Do:

• Define and advance enterprise security architecture, technical standards, and reference architectures, with a strong focus on Zero Trust and identity-centric security.
• Develop and drive a multi-year roadmap for Zero Trust, secure remote access/VPN replacement, network segmentation, IAM/PAM, and broader enterprise security architecture.
• Design security solutions across firewalls, IAM/PAM, cloud, Kubernetes, network infrastructure, applications, and security operations tooling, including platforms such as Palo Alto and Fortinet.
• Establish the architecture and security strategy for AI adoption, including secure AI/LLM integration, data protection, access controls, monitoring, and emerging AI-specific threats.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, cloud, security operations, and executive stakeholders to influence technical direction, communicate risk, and drive adoption of security standards.

What Gets You the Job:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in security architecture, engineering, network security, cloud security, identity security, or a related technical discipline, with significant enterprise architecture experience.
• Deep hands-on expertise designing Zero Trust architectures, IAM/PAM solutions, network segmentation, secure remote access, and enterprise firewall strategies; Palo Alto, Fortinet, or equivalent experience is highly valued.
• Strong cloud security architecture experience with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or an equivalent major cloud platform, including Kubernetes and cloud-native security patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to build multi-year security architecture roadmaps and establish standards across complex enterprise environments; telecommunications, critical infrastructure, or another highly regulated industry is a strong plus.
• Proven ability to operate as a senior individual contributor, influence without direct authority, communicate effectively with technical and executive audiences, and incorporate AI into enterprise security architecture and strategy.
