Kitchen Dishwasher

Overview Kitchen Steward — Reports to Executive Chef. Job Location: Colonial Country Club, Fort Worth, TX 76109. Status: Full-Time/Part-Time. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout all kitchen and food preparation areas, including dish room, prep areas, and storage spaces. Wash and sanitize all dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using manual and machine dishwashing methods. Ensure proper breakdown, cleaning, and reassembly of kitchen equipment as needed. Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently, ensuring correct chemical usage and temperature controls. Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries in designated storage areas. Maintain proper rotation of stock using FIFO (first in, first out) procedures. Remove trash, recycling, and food waste from kitchen areas and dispose of them properly in accordance with sanitation guidelines. Keep floors clean, dry, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment. Support culinary team with basic prep tasks and kitchen cleaning projects as assigned. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen tools, carts, drains, and workstations throughout service periods. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations at all times. Communicate effectively with chefs and cooks to support overall kitchen operations and service flow. Qualifications Previous experience in a kitchen stewarding, dishwashing, or food service support role preferred. Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Must be reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Ability to work safely around high temperatures and live-fire cooking equipment. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required for dough handling and pizza preparation.
