• Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 Base Salary
• Total Earning Potential: $120,000 – $140,000+ Annually

Position Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sales department, maximizing profitability on every transaction, developing and coaching sales consultants, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from lead to delivery. The ideal candidate is a strong closer, an excellent leader, highly organized, and passionate about helping both customers and employees succeed.

Core Responsibilities

Pricing & Profitability

• Review and structure every sales transaction to maximize front-end gross profit.
• Determine competitive pricing strategies for new and pre-owned vehicles.
• Evaluate trade-in values and approve trade appraisals.
• Monitor profitability and gross margins across all deals.
• Work closely with ownership to improve sales performance and profitability.

Deal Structuring & Negotiation

• Review customer offers presented by sales consultants.
• Structure deals including pricing, trade equity, financing options, and payment scenarios.
• Approve or modify deal terms while maintaining profitability.
• Assist sales consultants in overcoming objections and closing difficult deals.
• Ensure every transaction is accurate and compliant before delivery.

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and develop top sales talent.
• Conduct daily sales meetings and performance coaching sessions.
• Train staff on product knowledge, CRM best practices, negotiation techniques, and customer service.
• Set sales goals and hold the team accountable for performance.
• Foster a competitive, positive, and team-oriented culture.

Customer Experience

• Step in to resolve customer concerns or escalated negotiations.
• Build trust with customers while protecting company profitability.
• Ensure every customer receives a first-class buying experience.
• Help close high-value or complex transactions.

Sales Performance & Operations

• Monitor sales metrics, closing ratios, gross profit, and CRM activity.
• Ensure all leads receive timely follow-up.
• Work closely with ownership on sales forecasting and process improvements.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales management experience (dealership or brokerage preferred).
• Proven track record of consistently achieving sales and profitability goals.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
• Experience structuring automotive finance and lease deals.
• Strong understanding of CRM systems and sales reporting.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 annually (based on experience).
