Work Environment

The selected candidate will work onsite at our modern hospital facility, which is designed to create a welcoming and efficient atmosphere for both staff and patients. Our clinic operates during typical business hours, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. As a PTA, you'll be immersed in a dynamic setting that fosters collaboration among healthcare professionals while providing a balance of independent and teamwork-based responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, ensuring adherence to the latest clinical guidelines.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patient mobility, function, and overall quality of life.
• Monitor and document patient progress accurately, adjusting treatment activities based on real-time assessment and feedback.
• Work closely with physical therapists and a multidisciplinary team to collaborate on achieving optimal patient outcomes through regular communication and teamwork.
• Educate patients and their families regarding exercise regimens, techniques, and proper body mechanics necessary for continued recovery at home.
• Create a motivating and positive rehabilitation environment that encourages patient engagement and recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population that includes adults recovering from surgeries, athletes rehabilitating from sports injuries, and seniors seeking to improve mobility and quality of life. We offer a varied caseload that spans different modalities, including orthopedics, post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and neurological conditions, tailored to address each person's needs and ensure personalized attention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and graduate of a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California or in the process of obtaining licensure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for helping individuals achieve their health goals.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinic while also demonstrating independence when required.
• CPR certification is required upon hire, or willingness to obtain prior to the start date.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum two years of experience as a PTA, with a proven track record of effective patient interaction and care.
• Experience in a variety of therapeutic modalities and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Previous work in an outpatient setting is highly desirable, particularly within orthopedic or sports rehabilitation specialties.

Compensation and Benefits
