Embark on a rewarding part-time opportunity working with elementary and middle school students, utilizing your skills as a Physical Therapist in a supportive educational setting. This contract position runs from mid-August through late May, centered around providing specialized care to three students—a kindergartener, a 5th grader, and a 6th grader. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference, allowing each child to thrive and achieve their goals.

This role involves approximately three hours per week, with flexibility to complete direct and indirect service, ideal for someone seeking a manageable schedule. Traditionally, services have been provided over a single morning or afternoon, giving you autonomy to organize your visits efficiently. You’ll collaborate with educators to implement therapy plans tailored to each student’s unique needs, supporting them on their path to greater independence and success.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license required.
• Current NMPED license necessary.
• Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
• Ability to develop and adapt individualized goals and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement physical therapy interventions for three students.
• Record progress notes and maintain compliance with all required documentation.
• Provide consultative services to school teams and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
• Offer guidance and instruction to educators and families on supporting students’ progress.
