PT - Physical Therapist

Outpatient Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patients' needs, goals, and physician directives. The role includes delegation and direction of all therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs facilitate effective returns to community activities.

The Physical Therapist will serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers while maintaining compliance with the organization's mission statement and core values. Safety for patients and employees is a priority; staff are expected to identify workplace hazards, adhere to safety policies, and report risks promptly.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and insurance guidelines.
• Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment and appropriate supervision.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations.
• Ensure adherence to the State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of services provided.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience (new graduates are allowed).
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience in orthopedics is required.
