Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) on the inpatient floor in Lewiston, ME. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a 37-bed unit focused on surgical and telemetry patients, including those with bariatric conditions. The role offers an engaging environment with diverse clinical responsibilities and opportunities for professional growth.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights; 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing; experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; surgical experience, especially bariatrics, preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification; experience with ultrasound IV placement and bariatric patient care
• Float: Float rotation may be required to all inpatient units
• Additional Information: Openings are available due to contractor replacement. The unit utilizes specialty beds, wound vacs, prevena vacs, and Baxter IV pumps. The patient population includes geriatric and adult patients, with common diagnoses such as diabetes, pneumonia, trauma, general surgery, plastics, and urology.
