Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist License
- Experience supporting early childhood students in a school-based setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, families, and support staff
- Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored for young children
- Adaptability in addressing a wide range of developmental needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy services to early childhood students in accordance with IEPs and district guidelines
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing expertise to inform decision-making
- Foster a positive, inclusive therapy environment that encourages student engagement and growth
- Offer recommendations and resources to support the educational team and families
