Staff Attorney

• Provide legal advice on regulatory, business, employment, privacy, and contract matters
• Draft, review, and revise contracts, notices, disclosures, and other legal documents
• Support the development of strategies to identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and interact with outside counsel as needed
• Represent WHA in regulatory matters and assist with submissions
• Participate in internal and external committees, meetings, and presentations
• Ensure alignment with WHA’s Privacy and Information Security programs
• Promote compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in accordance with California State Bar guidelines
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
• Active membership in the California State Bar
• 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney in the State of California preferred
• Experience in managed care, health plans, or healthcare strongly preferred
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams
• Proficiency with standard business applications
