Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized rehabilitation nursing care within an inpatient setting for acutely ill patients across various age groups and multiple body systems. Utilize clinical judgment and evidence-based practices to assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans that promote optimal recovery and discharge readiness.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on comprehensive assessments.
• Use clinical reasoning skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to health conditions, considering surgical interventions and potential complications.
• Monitor patient progress, detect physiological changes, and take appropriate actions to prevent complications.
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients using SBAR and other interdisciplinary methods.
• Demonstrate leadership by sharing knowledge, serving as a clinical resource, and supporting colleagues.
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and clinical standards to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

• Valid State Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute inpatient rehabilitation experience.
• BLS certification through AHA.
• Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development through certification, advanced practice, or higher education.
