AP Specialist

Job Overview We are actively seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic AP Specialist to join our growing team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of accounts payable, support financial reporting, and contribute to the financial well‑being of the company. Salary $70,000 – $90,000 per year Key Responsibilities Handle full‑cycle Accounts Payable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to accounts payable, accrued expenses, and fixed assets. Utilize Sage Intacct software for efficient and accurate data entry and financial reporting. Process journal entries and perform monthly and year‑end closings. Conduct monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts. Ensure that all financial deadlines regarding accounts payable are met in a timely manner. Prepare and present detailed reports on AP status for senior management. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance department workflow. Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies. Maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information. Adhere to all company procedures and controls, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in the construction industry. Proficiency in Sage Intacct software. Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting, general ledger functions, and month‑end/year‑end close process. Proven ability to reconcile accounts and perform data entry tasks with high accuracy. Excellent analytical skills and ability to create and present detailed reports. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. High level of professionalism and confidentiality. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive problem‑solving skills and keen attention to detail. Up‑to‑date with the latest trends and best practices in accounting and financial management.
