Cloud DevOps Engineer

Tasks

• As part of an agile scrum team, you will actively contribute to the development of this new cloud-based operating platform and you will design the necessary processes for the future operation of the hybrid cloud platform.
• In addition, you will accompany, advise and train our implementation and development teams on their way to the cloud..
• In close cooperation with the developers, you will design the automation of deployments and builds and thus make your contribution to a modern and productive development pipeline.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, System Engineering or a similar role
• Confident Linux operational and debugging skills, practical experience in system configuration and optimization, automated task management (e.g. cron, Ansible), scripting skills (Shell/Python
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, security concepts, good understanding of microservice architecture and cloud-native application design principles
• Professional use of version control systems (e.g. git)
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (e.g. AWS or GCP)
• Experience with Kubernetes-based container orchestration platforms
• Experience with container technologies (e.g. Docker), management of container-based applications, debugging
• Confident use of DevOps platforms (e.g. GitLab, ArgoCD), knowledge of CI/CD processes, configuration of pipelines and support for operational automation
• Practical experience in operating and configuring databases in a cloud environment (PostgreSQL), routine in efficient data access (SQL)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus/Grafana, Dynatrace, ELK), analysis, dashboard and alerting optimization
• Efficient and structured use of the collaboration tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
• Professional working proficiency in English and/or German language(s)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Team player and customer-focused attitude

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with messaging and integration technologies (e.g. Apache Kafka)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)
