FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

Overview We are hiring immediately for full time FLOOR TECHNICIAN positions. Location: Virginia Commonwealth University - 1201 East Marshall Street, Richmond, VA 23298. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Full time schedule; Monday through Friday, 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs) Pay and Perks : Fixed Pay Rate: $21.30 per hour. Job Summary Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment. Essential Functions Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface Perform procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc. Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types Other duties as assigned by manager Qualifications Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
