FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

We are hiring immediately for full time and part time FLOOR TECHNICIAN positions. Location: VCU Health System Authority - 1230 East Marshall Street, Richmond, VA 23298. Note: online applications accepted only. Schedule: Full time and part time schedules. Monday - Friday, rotating weekends. Hours may vary. Further details upon interview. Requirement: 2 years of prior floor care experience required. Pay Range: $17.65 per hour to $19.65 per hour. Job Summary Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment. Essential Functions Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and applies proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning of large floor areas Uses proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc. Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types Other duties as assigned by manager Qualifications Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
