Social Media Content Specialist

Eligibility and Qualification Criteria To qualify for the Web Content and Social Media Specialist position, applicants must provide supporting documentation that demonstrates the following: Specialized Experience One year of specialized experience directly related to this role. For GS‑11 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑09 level or its equivalent under other pay systems, including the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cut‑off/closing date of the announcement. Developing and managing website and social media content. Creating graphic animation and video content for web distribution. Using website analytics to assess user access patterns. Implementing strategies to increase website traffic and audience engagement. Education Substitution Education must demonstrate the relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities. The education must be from a college or university accredited by an organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education. If education is used to meet basic qualifications, a transcript must be submitted as supplemental documentation. Eligible education includes a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher‑level graduate education leading to such a degree (or an LL.M.) that may satisfy the basic qualifications for a GS‑11 level. Combination of Experience and Education Combinations of post‑high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for grade level GS‑11. The applicant’s total qualifying experience and education are calculated as percentages of the requirements for the grade level, and the two percentages must sum to at least 100 %. Additional Job‑Related Qualifications Applicants must demonstrate experience in developing innovative and creative content in response to customer requests or internally generated requirements; identifying target audiences and determining the best designs for websites; ensuring content is appropriate for public distribution; and using website analytics and diagnostic tools to assess user access patterns and provide improvement recommendations. Volunteer Experience Volunteer work through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations is considered paid and unpaid experience and may provide credit for all qualifying experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
