The unit's largest patient population includes stroke patients (ischemic, hemorrhagic, SAH), and the facility is recognized as a comprehensive stroke center. The unit operates with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio that can flex up to 3:1 during high census periods, with an average daily census of 11–12.
