DRCHC also has a licensed patient pharmacy and a state approved Medicaid application center.If you are a Dental Assistant looking for competitive compensation, meaningful work and excellent benefits, we would love to hear from you!Work Experience Requirements:Assists the Dentist in all dental procedures.Completes Time Out/Intake on all patients.Set up treatment rooms for proceduresGreet patients and ensure patient is properly draped and ready for procedure.Display compassion to help patients feel comfortableEnsure patients' questions are answered thoroughly before the leaveProperly sterilizes operatories and equipment according to OSHA guidelines between patients.Takes X-rays; develops X-rays; mounts X-rays.Keeps the operatories well stocked with supplies. Orders supplies as necessary.Stores and keeps track of all dental laboratory cases.Fills out and tracks Medicaid/insurance pre-authorizations.Monitors the upkeep of dental equipment on a weekly basis.Disinfect treatment rooms according to OSHA regulations.Test the autoclaves on a weekly basis.Assists in laboratory duties.Wear proper protective equipment during procedures, including gloves, gown, and mask.Reports any equipment repair that is needed to the supervisor.Prepares for and acts appropriately to medical emergencies in the dental office.Perform other duties as required.Education/Experience Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent.Graduate of accredited dental assistant program or dental assistant experience (minimum of 1 year) in accordance with Louisiana regulations preferred.Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments and infection control.Experience with electronic dental records is preferred.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Licensure/Certifications:BLS required (American Heart Association)Must have Xray certification per the State Dental Board of LouisianaAll applications/resumes are accepted online via or any of the external posting site such as Glassdoor or Indeed.Apply now and take the next step in a rewarding career where your skills can change lives.
