Superintendent - Steel Erection

Job Description

Take the Lead. Run the Jobsite. Make an Impact.

Are you an experienced steel erection leader ready to take ownership of the jobsite? At Summit City Steel Erection (SCSE), we're looking for a hands-on Steel Erection Superintendent who knows how to lead crews, plan the work, maintain high safety standards, and keep projects moving.

This is more than a supervisory position. You'll have the authority to make decisions in the field, coordinate directly with project managers and customers, and lead the crews responsible for getting the job done right.

With competitive pay, year-round work, company-provided equipment, and a direct line to company leadership, SCSE offers an opportunity to put your experience to work and help build something you can be proud of.

Why Join SCSE?

• Competitive pay: Earn $42–$55 per hour based on experience, with overtime opportunities.
• Weekly pay: Get paid every week, with overtime at time and a half after 40 hours.
• Take-home company truck: Company vehicle and fuel provided.
• Year-round work: Stay busy with structural steel erection and industrial projects.
• Home most nights: Most jobs are within daily driving distance of Fort Wayne.
• Authority in the field: Set the work sequence, direct crews, and stop work when safety or quality is at risk.
• Direct access to leadership: Work directly with the President overseeing our structural and industrial operations.
• Company-owned equipment: We own our equipment fleet and self-perform our work, giving you greater control over jobsite execution.
• Invested in your success: Receive training and certifications to help you succeed in the role.

At SCSE, safety, quality, and productivity go hand in hand. We expect our leaders to plan ahead, hold crews accountable, and get the job done right the first time.

We value experienced field leaders and offer a compensation package designed to support you both on and off the job.

• Per diem for qualifying travel work.
• Health, dental, and vision insurance.
• 401(k) with company match.
• Profit-sharing opportunities.
