Associate Attorney (General Liability)

Attorney – General Liability Defense Location: Chicago, IL Practice Area: General Liability Defense About The Opportunity Kelley Kronenberg is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our General Liability Defense team in our Chicago office. We are looking for an ambitious litigator with strong writing skills and a passion for defense work who is ready to manage their own files and grow alongside an experienced Partner. Responsibilities Independently manage a high-volume caseload of complex general liability litigation matters from inception through resolution Handle your own files while collaborating closely with an experienced Partner on litigation strategy and case development Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and status reports Conduct legal research and assist with all aspects of motion practice Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and other proceedings Maintain regular, professional communication with clients and adjusters Provide responsive, high-quality service to our clients Required Education & Experience Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school Active Illinois Bar License (required) Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience (general liability defense preferred) Superior writing skills and exceptional attention to detail Proven ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines Perks of Working at Kelley Kronenberg Competitive salary with achievable yearly bonus structure Company-paid PPO health insurance + dental & vision options Generous paid time off, floating holidays, and mental health days 401K retirement with employer match Diverse, equal, and inclusive work environment Ongoing support and professional career development Estimated Compensation Range $90,000 – $140,000, depending on experience and based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, and geographical location, as well as other factors.
