Associate Attorney

We are seeking a 6–8 year Litigation Associate to handle a diverse caseload of complex defense matters. This role is ideal for an attorney who is comfortable managing cases independently while collaborating with a broader team across offices. Responsibilities Manage a caseload of litigation matters from inception through resolution Handle all aspects of written discovery, including drafting and responding Take and defend depositions (fact witnesses, parties, and experts) Draft and argue substantive motions (including dispositive motions) Attend court appearances and hearings Work directly with clients on case strategy, reporting, and risk assessment Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices on national litigation matters Assist in trial preparation and participate in trial teams as needed Qualifications 6–8 years of litigation experience (defense experience strongly preferred) Strong deposition experience (taking and defending) Experience drafting and arguing motions Ability to independently manage cases with minimal supervision Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational and case management abilities Licensed and in good standing in Illinois Experience in transportation, products liability, or general liability defense Exposure to high-volume or national litigation portfolios Trial or second‑chair trial experience is a plus Hands‑on responsibility with meaningful client interaction Collaborative, team‑oriented culture across offices Opportunity to work with national clients on complex matters Clear path for growth and advancement Competitive compensation and benefits package How to Apply Please submit your resume, writing sample, and any relevant case experience to View email address on click.appcast.io. #J-18808-Ljbffr
