- Housing and Benefits SpecialistACT - rockville, MD 20850## OverviewSalary Range$19.24 - $21.64 Hourly## DescriptionCornerstone – Housing Specialist Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)Cornerstone empowers people living with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders to live, work, and integrate successfully into the community. We envision that each person we serve will have a meaningful life of their choosing. We offer years of evidence based treatment experience to our consumers and practical training to our staff. Our robust training program allows staff members to develop and grow in the position and provides the basis for upward mobility within the agency.Responsibilities of the Housing Specialist with the ACT Team* Supports clients with finding and maintaining safe and affordable housing* Provides ongoing assistance to help clients apply for, understand and manage their benefits* Ensure maximum acquisition of entitlements and other forms of assistance for all clients served by the ACT team* Provide operational administrative support to the ACT team.* Assists clients in maintaining employment by frequent visits to the work site## QualificationsQualifications of the Housing Specialist with the ACT Team* Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of case management experience preferred* Experience working with the population of serious mental illness in the capacity of case management, integrated care coordination, and medical office organization strongly preferred* Driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and access to a vehicle for work purposes. Transporting clients in personal vehicle is required.Our company offers a dynamic and collegial work environment, ongoing opportunities for professional growth, and generous benefits, including 3 weeks paid vacation, up to 500 hours of sick leave, 9 paid holidays and 2 floating holidays (bonus days). Eligible for health care (single and family) the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.
