Psychiatrist (Child & Adolescent)

Job Summary We are looking for a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services across the agency. You will evaluate and diagnose individuals who are experiencing a psychiatric emergent/urgent or routine condition in an outpatient setting, face-to-face and/or by telehealth. You will determine pharmacological treatment for patients as well as facilitate admitting patients to the hospital or respite as needed. Location & Schedule Memphis Clinic (3430 Summer Ave). Mostly on-site with hybrid structures considered. Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm with no on‑call responsibilities. Compensation Above $300K for a 37.5‑hour work week for the right candidate, plus a generous benefits policy, no state income tax, and below average cost of living. Relocation reimbursement is offered. Responsibilities Evaluate and diagnose patients with psychiatric emergencies, urgencies, or routine conditions in an outpatient setting via face‑to‑face and/or telehealth. Prescribe medications using InfoScriber and provide follow‑up on pharmacological treatment. Facilitate admission of patients to the hospital or respite, and consult with MCRT as needed. Supervise Nurse Practitioner and/or residents as assigned. Coordinate medical aspects of treatment with Nurse, Care Management Supervisor, and Care Managers. Participate in and provide supervision of multidisciplinary treatment team meetings; offer phone consultation when required. Maintain an active role in the treatment plan, including patient follow‑up. Consult with outside physicians regarding care‑managed consumers and assist with communication to the PCP. Requirements Tennessee licensed psychiatrist, board eligible or board certified. Valid Tennessee driver’s license. Acceptable motor vehicle report (MVR). Acceptable criminal background investigation. Liability insurance for personal automobile. Qualifications & Experience Collaborative spirit to coordinate medical treatments with nurses and care managers. Deep knowledge of therapeutic interventions—including diagnostic assessment, medication evaluation and management, suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention, and overall care of patients with psychiatric disorders. Leadership ability to lead others toward excellence in care. Ability to maintain an active role in treatment planning and patient follow‑up. Strong relationship‑building skills to cultivate trust with teams, physicians, and consumers.
