Product Applications Development Engineer

Responsibilities Provide technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA optical thin film and SCD metrology in both customer fabrication and KLA facilities. Be responsible for customers’ recipe development and setup, technical training, project execution, and related pre‑sales activities. Assist sales staff in assessing potential applications of company products to meet customer needs and provide follow‑up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications. Report on regional requirements and updates to product division. Escalate field application issues to division and follow up for issue fix. Work on sophisticated problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in‑depth evaluation of various factors. Generate film and SCD recipe development BKMs and publish technical paper. Review and evaluate quality of data in other related technical documents. Act as layer owner on complex demos. Serve as Applications Representative for PLC projects. Minimum Qualifications Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master’s Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor’s Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years.
