Production Technician

The Production Technician performs a wide variety of responsibilities requiring a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time. What You’ll Do: Building crates and wooden boxes Assist with cleanup of manufacturing area, buildings, grounds, and vehicle Local pick-up and delivery of vehicles, material, parts and equipment Cleaning of parts for manufacturing Removal of metal chip barrels Assembly and disassembly of parts and equipment Packing products for shipment Loading and unloading trucks Operating fork truck and scissor lift Picking warehouse material Education, Training & Experience: High school diploma required; Good time management Demonstrates initiative Carpentry experience is preferred. Benefits: Health and wellness benefits Paid time off Company lunches, team events, and community volunteer opportunities Work Environment / Physical Requirements: Standard workday for this role is 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. 30-minute lunch/dinner break. This is an on-site, hands-on role in a manufacturing environment. Frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping throughout the shift Lifting and moving materials up to 75 lbs (with assistance) Use of close, distance, and peripheral vision with strong attention to detail Exposure to typical grinding and polishing conditions (noise, dust, etc.) Required use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots Accommodations: SPI is committed to providing reasonable accommodation for qualified individuals with disabilities during the application and employment process.
