Nuclear Medicine Tech

Purpose of Job

This casual position is responsible for performing high quality and accurate diagnostic Nuclear Medicine exams in accordance with established procedures.

Job Functions

1. Interacts with patients, providers and staff in a professional and courteous manner to ensure safety for our patients.
2. Produces high quality and accurate nuclear medicine exams.
3. Assists with maintenance of equipment to ensure patient safety and proper working order.
   
   
4. Reviews cases with Radiologist to ensure accuracy of clinical data obtained.
   
   
5. Performs intravenous access technique as needed.
   
   
6. Properly prepare, handle and dispose of nuclear pharmaceuticals.
   
   
7. Demonstrates room and equipment cleaning process between patients.
   
   
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an AMA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine

• Meet basic requirements for the ACR accreditation

• Knowledge of anatomy and pathology seen on Nuclear Medicine scans

• Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions

• Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above

• Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner

• Strong computer skills and basic Microsoft Office applications

• Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations

• Ability to work autonomously and as a team

• Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills

• Ability and knowledge to complete job functions at all Ridgeview Imaging locations

• CPR Certified

• NMTCB Certified

Compensation

Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity. Pay listed does not include any shift, weekend, or other differentials.
