Senior Accountant

About The Role

Join our client's finance team as a Senior Accountant, where you'll ensure financial accuracy and support strategic business decisions. Collaborate closely with the Controller to streamline processes and maintain financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate transaction records.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and internal reports.
• Execute month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, resolving discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and support audits.
• Conduct variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in gathering data for tax filings.
• Analyze weekly cash flows to ensure liquidity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-4 years of public accounting experience preferred; manufacturing exposure is a plus.
• Proficiency with accounting software; Great Plains is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate finance principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.

Work Environment

• Willing to travel up to 25%.
