Overview

We’re hiring  Senior 5-Axis CNC Machinists for a precision manufacturing facility supporting aerospace, defense, medical device, and other high-precision industries. It’s an opportunity to develop new machining processes, launch new products, solve difficult machining challenges, and help build the manufacturing systems that production teams rely on.

You’ll spend your time proving out new jobs, refining setups, developing repeatable processes, and collaborating directly with engineering and programming. The shop is investing heavily in advanced manufacturing technology, including  Hermle 5-axis machining centers, Siemens NX, Wenzel CMMs, automated probing, and robotic integration.  If you enjoy tackling difficult parts, working with modern equipment, and seeing your ideas become the production standard, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.

Compensation

• $36 - $48 / hr

• Siemens Sinumerik & Heidenhain Controls
• Siemens NX Manufacturing
• Wenzel CMM & Keyence Inspection
• Titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, and nickel alloys

Responsibilities

• New Product Launches: Lead setup and prove-out of new machining projects.
• Machine Setups: Independently complete complex 5-axis setups.
• Workholding: Develop fixturing, tooling, and workholding strategies.
• Process Development: Optimize machining processes for repeatable production.
• Inspection: Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Troubleshooting: Resolve machining, tooling, and process issues.
• Automation: Support robotic cells and lights-out manufacturing.
• Production Support: Document and transfer processes to production.
• Continuous Improvement: Improve machining performance and cycle times.
• Mentorship: Support less experienced machinists as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience
• 5-axis setup experience
• Blueprint reading and GD&T
• Tight-tolerance machining experience
• First-piece inspection experience
• Strong tooling and workholding knowledge
• Machining troubleshooting experience

Preferred

• Aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing
• Simultaneous 5-axis or mill-turn experience
• Siemens or Heidenhain controls
• Siemens NX experience
• Titanium, Inconel, or nickel alloy machining
• CMM inspection experience
