Machine Operator

Position Title: Machine Operator Wage: $15.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm QPS Employment Group has a great Machine Operator position at a company in Davenport, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Machine Operator Responsibilities Assist in preparing and operating machines for tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling. Follow basic instructions and read simple blueprints or work orders to understand required tasks. Input simple commands or load pre-programmed settings into machines as directed. Load raw materials and parts onto machines and support machine setup for production runs. Perform routine checks on machinery and report any issues to supervisors or maintenance. Pick and pull orders from inventory, package, label, and prepare boxes as needed. Perform basic inspections of parts using visual checks and simple measuring tools. Notify supervisors of defects or issues and assist with sorting acceptable and non-conforming parts. Handle tools and materials safely, including sharp cutting tools, following safety guidelines. Machine Operator Requirements High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Willingness to learn machine operation and follow instructions closely. Basic hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stay focused. Ability to use hands and fingers to handle small objects. Ability to occasionally stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs., and frequently lift up to 15 lbs.
