Occupational Therapist - School

Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: School Occupational Therapist in the South Holland, IL.

We're currently seeking dedicated School Occupational Therapist ($48-60/hour-based on experience) to support students ages K-12th with higher needs in the South Holland, IL for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy through an accredited program
• IL license to practice as an OTR
• Previous experience with a high needs' caseload preferred, especially working with kids that have externalizing behaviors

Role Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.



Job Details:

• Schedule: Full time
• Dates: ASAP-June 1, 2027
• Hours: 8a-3p, 32.5 billable hours per week
• Caseload: K-12th with cognitive disabilities
• Population: Autism, sensory supports, IEP Development, integrated therapy into the classroom setting
• In-person only

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
• Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
