Job Summary (Essential Functions)
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure the quality and presentation of all dishes meet the restaurant's specifications.
- Execute timely and accurate preparation of ingredients to meet service demands.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to streamline workflow and ensure efficient service.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of menu items.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a line cook or similar role.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification a plus.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., as well as stand extended periods of time. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling.
