Production Planner

Job Summary A Production Planner will develop and manage the execution of the production schedule, balancing line output with available capacity, material availability, and program delivery commitments. They communicate manufacturing status, expected completion dates, and production risk analysis to leadership and program managers. Responsibilities Partner with procurement, production manager, quality, engineering, and program management to proactively plan, schedule, and manage development, production, and aftermarket support environments. Own execution of items associated with planner code, including release of internal jobs to the factory and purchase requisitions, and manage disruptions such as shortages, MRB, and constraints. Advise management on status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure personnel, equipment, materials, and services are available as needed. Monitor internal and external supply chain alignment, identify and resolve potential constraints, and maintain line‑of‑balance and purchase requests based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements. Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and interface effectively with internal customers. Assist in developing and executing plans for assigned products to maximize scheduled on‑time completion, analyzing supply and demand data and reporting critical path constraints. Manage manual demand for top‑down and bottom‑up releases, facilitate ECN/ECP changes, coordinate production cut‑ins, review excess material for consumption in other jobs, and create material transfers, borrow/payback transactions, and PO change requests. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of moderately related professional experience preferred. 1‑3 years of MRP experience; CPIM certification preferred. Self‑starter able to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent communication, facilitation, and networking skills. Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent partnering and team‑building skills. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and prior MRP software experience. Experience with PowerPoint, MS Projects, EMatrix, Oracle ERP, and PowerBI preferred.
