About Locum Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Jobs:

General Job Responsibilities:  

• Perform thorough pre-anesthesia assessments, including reviewing patient history, conducting physical exams and discussing anesthesia plans with patients. 
• Administer anesthesia under the supervision of a licensed anesthesiologist, including general, regional and monitored anesthesia care. 
• Provide continuous patient monitoring and anesthesia adjustments during procedures. 
• Provide post-anesthesia care, including managing any complications related to anesthesia. 
• Ensure continuity of care by collaborating with other healthcare professionals. 
• Provide immediate response for anesthesia-related emergencies. 
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.

Minimum Education Requirements:  

• Master's-level degree in an anesthesiologist assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). 

License & Certifications:  

• Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA). 
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Indiana. 
• Certain life support certifications may be required for various assignments.

Experience:  

• While specific requirements may vary, most locum CAA positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience providing care in a clinical setting.
