Position Details

We are seeking qualified candidates for a day shift position with a schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 06:00 to 18:00. The start date for this position is ASAP, and first-time travelers are encouraged to apply. Weekend requirements include working 3 out of 6 weekends.

• Type of Facility: Community Hospital
• Patient Capacity: 20 Rooms / 26 Beds
• Average Daily Census: 105
• Visits Per Day: 135

Job Responsibilities

The position involves covering the Observation Unit, primarily focusing on patients awaiting admission from the Emergency Room.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
• California state license required; pending licenses will not be accepted
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC
• Preferred Experience: Charge experience, community hospital experience, desired but not required

Skills Required

• Proficient in managing a wide range of medical conditions, including abdominal pain, asthma, drug overdoses, and more
• Experience with patient care procedures such as intubation, phlebotomy, and IV management
• Ability to interpret arterial blood gases and manage complex patient scenarios
• Competence in handling emergencies including trauma, seizures, and respiratory infections

• Age ranges: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

Additional Information

Travelers may be required to float between nearby sister facilities. All requests for time off or specific scheduling needs must be communicated upfront during the submittal process. Please note that it is essential to have at least one year of experience for this role.

Orientation and Training

Orientation hours will total 40, and completion of necessary modules will be required prior to start and during orientation.
