RN - ER

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shifts: 3x12 Hour (18:00 - 06:00)

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the Emergency Department, specifically covering Observation Unit for ER Hold patients. This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work with a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans for patients in the Observation Unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Manage critical situations and provide emergency interventions when necessary.
• Educate patients and families on care procedures and health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid Registered Nurse license in California.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required; travel experience preferred.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Charge experience is a plus.
