Job Title: CWI Location: Clinton, Tennessee Type: 6 month Contract To Hire Compensation: $45.00 - $0.00 Work Model: Onsite onsite

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional checks of welds on components like pressure vessels, structural steel, boilers, and piping systems.
• Ensure all welding activities comply with approved procedures, blueprints, and industry codes (e.g., AWS, ASME, API).
• Review weld maps, maintain detailed inspection reports, and verify welder performance qualifications (WPQ).
• Coordinate or execute Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods like ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing.
• Identify non-conformance issues, enforce corrective actions, and act as the primary QC point of contact for clients.

Requirements

• Active American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade degree preferred.
• Typically requires 3 to 5+ years of QA/QC experience in construction, manufacturing, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Deep understanding of relevant codebooks such as AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and B31.1.
