Molding Process Engineer

Molding Process Engineer (Bilingual in English and Korean)\n\nTimpl has partnered up with a 1-tier automotive supplier for global company and\nis looking for a Molding Process Engineer\n\n\nKey Roles and Responsibilities\n\n1) Develop new processes, assess and document new and existing processes.\n2) Implement and evaluate changes to existing processes designed to improve\nproduct quality, productivity and overall equipment efficiency.\n3) Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process technicians,\noperators and other molding personnel.\n4) Develop and maintain process documentation ensuring that processes and\nprocedures are clearly stated and understandable for all employees.\n5) Provide technical support/solutions to manufacturing processes, improve\nyield and throughput, drive cost reduction activities, cycle time efficiency,\nscrap reduction and improve on part quality.\n6) Demonstrated ability to start-up, operate and shut down process related\nequipment.\n7) Must be able to work independently on new process development as well as\ntroubleshooting current production \nissues.\n8) Work with equipment and material vendors to resolve machine and material\nissues\n9) Monitor and report issues with injection molds, make recommendations for\nrefurbishment based on production factors such as cycles, process capability and\ntooling history.\n10) Interact with customers to resolve issues and provide new project updates\n11) Implement technical solutions including statistical methodology to meet\ncustomer cost, quality, and delivery \nexpectations.\n12) Robot programming, EOAT repairs and possible builds.\n13) Facilitate and support facility and manufacturing safety, environmental,\nand ergonomics efforts.\n\n\nJob Requirements\n1. Working Experience\n8 year's experience in a similar automotive Injection Molding facility\n\n2. Education\nPreferred B.S. Degree in Plastics or Mechanical / Industrial Engineering with 3+\nyears' experience with Injection Molding of High-Performance Polymers; or\nequivalent combination of education, training, and experience\n\n3. Knowledge Skills and Abilities\n1) Strong and diverse technical background in injection molding processing,\ntooling, equipment, materials, manufacturing and quality.\n2) Self-starter must be able to work with little direction and with a high\nlevel of self-motivation.\n3) Excellent computer skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.\n4) Demonstrated superior communication (written and verbal), teamwork, and\norganizational skills.\n5) Ability to lead others, responsibility may include indirect supervision of\nprocess technicians.\n6) Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment while\noffering motivation and technical support to other team members.\n7) Knowledge of robot programming and EOAT.\n8) Demonstrated ability to think out of the box and recommend options.\n
